Voices of the Peaks is a choral suite celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Peak District National Park. It was premiered at Buxton International Festival in 2026 by three of Hannah Brine’s choirs: High Peak Singers, Didsbury Singers and Bollington Singers.
The suite journeys through a variety of musical styles, reflecting our relationship with this remarkable landscape while exploring both its natural beauty and its rich history.
These Rolling Hills is a love song to the land - a celebration of the feeling of coming home to the Peak District countryside.
Throughout the creation of Voices of the Peaks, choir members shared memories, stories and reflections on what it means to live among these hills. Time and again, one theme emerged: a deep connection to the landscape and a sense that this place is woven into who they are.
As the final movement of the suite, These Rolling Hills celebrates that feeling of belonging. It is a reflection on home, memory and the landscapes that accompany us throughout our lives, reminding us that the places we love often become part of us.
